中根農園直売所 — Local services in Tsukuba

Vegetable shop on the site of a disused Seven-Eleven, complete with tractors and other agricultural machinery parked outside. It's opposite the TIST college. Sells (almost) everything at 100 yen on an honour system where you put the money in a box. There is usually no staff present, if they are present they are just putting things into bags or something.

Lots of unusual vegetables such as purple potatoes, giant garlic, unusual herbs, etc., all apparently grown locally.

Behind the potatoes there is a lifesize cutout of a woman which for some reason has startled me time and time again. There are also two dogs tethered inside the shop who bark...

この時期に獲れるもののラインナップが店前の黒板に記載されています。値段のシールが貼られていないものは全て100円。 お米やひょうたん　石鹸なども一緒に売られています。
