Breathtaking view of Almaty city from here. I came here during winter. Recommended to come here to get the mountain vibe of Almaty if you don’t plan to visit Shymbulak 🙂. Kok Tobe is a hill a theme park and very near to the city center. Take bus route number 99 or 95 from Dostyk Plaza to Kok Tobe bus stop. From here, you can either hike to the top 🙂or take the van. You can purchase a T2000 return ticket for the van from the ticket counter. The vans are always available

What a viewpoint?! Everything is blocked, you can’t see the mountains anywhere. On top there are some crappy huts nobody cares about. Everything is just designed to rip the money out of your pocket. The people are unfriendly and disorganized. Save yourself the money and the trip. Totally...
