Almaty Television Tower — Attraction in Almaty

Seen from far away in Almay, the TV tower became a symbol of the viewpoint over the city from the hill side of the smooth, gleaming and recently renovated Kok Tobe cable car. The tower is situated in the park with lots of attractions around: the Almaty eye, the restaurants, the small zoo and the playing ground. The cable car runs from beside the Palace of the Republic on Dostyq up to Kök-Töbe or the Green Hill on the city’s southeast edge. Near the top station are a viewing platform, crafts stalls and a cafeteria doing good shashlyk. If you come during the day, the walk back down to Dostyq is a pleasant one. La tour de télévision d'Almaty est une structure impressionnante qui domine la ville depuis la montagne Kök-Töbe. Avec ses 371 mètres de hauteur, elle est l’une des plus hautes tours en acier du monde. Sa construction date des années 1970-1980, et elle a été conçue pour résister aux tremblements de terre, ce qui est important dans cette région.
