AA Lodges Head office — Local services in Nairobi

On the outside it looks decent, but once you get into you room, you realize it is very out dated and poorly maintained with a mosquito infestation. You can see the stains on the toilet seats, shower, bed, pillows.. Even the chairs outside are worn. Also note that the bed is in bad shape and not great to sleep on. The dining Lounge is poorly maintained as well, with my utensils sticky and not cleaned properly. Food is poor for all bkft, lunch, and dinner. As for WiFi, it is essentially non existent. The stay was supposedly two nights but we cut it short to one--as it was extremely uncomfortable and nowhere was comfortable to even sit. Though we left early, no one asked why or even gave a comment. Poor service, poor amenities, poor food,...

The 20 to 30 minutes drive leading upto the Lodges was a shocker. This was because of a temporary path created due to road works on the main path way. Get ready for a bumpy ride. At the lodge itself, the rooms were big and spacious, clean and tidy. With shower gels, shampoo, towels and shower slippers provided. Mosquitoes netting on all the beds and in good condition. There are mosquitoes in the area but the netting on the beds done the job. Swimming pool also there. Restaurant area was big and the food (buffet) was decent and service was ok. All food was Halal. Food included rice, soup, curries etc... The bar area was disappointing due to lack of drinks and service was not good. All in all, was a decent stay. You get what you pay...

The facilities listed on the various booking sites are incorrect. The houses look nice at first, but everything is wrong with them, sockets are incomplete, loose or not working. Door lock was fixed with 1 screw, a bath is promised on the various booking sites, but there is none. Dinner was lukewarm and monotonous, the breakfast pour.
