Java House - Galleria Mall — Restaurant in Nairobi

We ate because we were HUNGRY. That is all.

Staff ignores you, you practically have to flag them down just to get a menu, then to get your order taken, then again to check why you're missing items because the server couldn't be bothered to check with the kitchen first to find out if common items like their monthly signature drink were in stock or not. When our server did come, they had an attitude like we were bothering them or something LOL

I can wait a long time for good food but our dishes were undercooked and bland after all that waiting. Some of the fruit and veg wasn't even fresh so we had to leave it.

The only positive here is that the seating area was decently clean.

The manager, a young man in a white shirt, was rude and trying to create a scene simply because we had not ordered which was rather embarrassing. The waiter had not even come to our table to ask for orders. We had not refused to order we were just caught up in the business discussion at the moment. A proper way they should treat their patrons is by courteously coming to where they are and politely asking how they may be of service of them. Shouting anxiously on the pretext like we had refused and shouting to waiters to serve is an uncouth manner and shouldn't be tolerated. I usually love Java because of its fresh food and portions. However, today I was very very disappointed. I eat these meals regularly at the restaurant or order them. I ordered the beef burger , chicken curry eith rice, grilled chicken with fries and a fruit salad. The food isn't fresh. The grilled chicken is completely dry. It's like trying to eat firewood. The fries are not fresh. These weren't cooked today. The burger is DRY as well, hardly any veggies in it. The buns weren't toasted.
