Moonshine Beach Bar — Local services in ziwa La Ng'ombe ward

I had the absolute worst experience at this bar. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri, and you served something closer to a strawberry-shooter drink that tasted to sweet and bad. I sent the drink back twice to see if they could make a better one. The bartender basically returned the same drink to me. After a few sips I was feeling nauseous 🤢. When they came with the bill the drink was still on. I told them I would like something else to compansate for the bad drink. The weather did absolutely nothing. She just looked at me like I was dumb. She only said no and broth the “bar manager” or someone else over to talk to me about the bill. He did absolutely nothing as well….. they did not understand that a bad drink is something you don’t want… One think is to not be able to make a good drink, another thing is to not even try to make a compromise with the costumer. I have never experienced such bad costumer service . Would not recommend this place. There is a lot of better bars to go to with better...

This was a very disappointing experience. While the beachfront is of course nice and the waitress was friendly the food was a nightmare. We had a very rusty bottle of ginger ale that tasted just like the way it looked … old. The food was served cold. The chips masala was the driest I have experienced in Kenya and the fish used in the fishfingers seemed old and tasted weird. There was no sauce or anything with the calamari we had and the fries had been way to long in the frier. Salt was also not available at the table. They also charge you a consumable fee for entering the Bar (not using the pool) which was their luck otherwise we would probably had left after the ginger ale withouy trying the food in the first place. I loved the bar, ambience, location.

I didn't like the fact that:

1. My friend was stopped @ the entrance because she was wearing something "revealing"! Bikini with a see through overall. Its a bar next to the beach so what were we to put on than something that's beachy? A lady wore tiny short and tube top and was allowed to enter without any problem.

2. The pork we ordered was not edible(they mixed fresh + rotten pieces). They offered to make us another but we declined since we had already waited for more than 2hrs for the food + we were already disappointed that such an establishment would sell something that's gone bad. We didn't pay for the meal and went across the road to Maasai where we had our meal then returned back to Moonshine just for the...
