Pepper — Local services in Mubarak Al-Kabeer

I was completely blown away by everything at this restaurant. The waiting staff, the food, the ambiance and the overall experience.

Upon arrival, the table was beautifully set and the waiting staff presented us with iPads on which we could view the entire menu including pictures of the food. While looking at the menu, we were given a palate cleansing drink along with hot towels.

After ordering, we were given a selection of in house freshly baked complimentary brioche breads along with dips and butter.

For starters we had the grilled garlic prawns and the beef cheek. The prawns were juicy and cooked exactly right. For mains, I opted for the aged porterhouse with peppercorn sauce, sweet potato fries and seasonal vegetables. The steak was absolutely delicious, melt in the mouth and cooked to perfection. The portion size was huge, so big that I was unable to finish it.

For dessert, I had the baklava which once again was a very generous portion.

I really enjoyed my dining experience at Pepper and would definitely recommend a visit. Please be advised though that the price is extremely high, but we didn’t mind as the service, food and the experience was...

I went there to celebrate my anniversary with high expectations, however since I arrived the welcome was not warm, and our table was not comfortable. We ordered a soup which was tasteless! and the goat cheese salad as well. Since it is a steakhouse I obviously ordered a steak and after very long time of waiting our food arrived COLD!!! Imagine eating a cold steak!!! However instead of changing the plate, they just wormed it up. Which was the worst steak I have ever had .... a very low rated restaurant would have made better steak... the cost is super expensive while the food does not worth it. One of the staff called Ehab was very polite where he apologized several times and offered us free drinks and fruits, but my night was already ruined..... not...

I went there to eat with my wife a few nights ago. I really had no complaints. Nice vibes food was good friendly staff. The only issue I had was the misrepresentation of the choice of meat. I ordered the Wagyu tomahawk. And just based off the price 125USD I should’ve known it was regular angus beef. One of the waiters told me it was angus but when I stated it was suppose to be wagyu he said sorry I meant wagyu. Taste and price= it was def angus beef however tasted decent. Same with my wife’s steak which was a regular strip steak advertised as wagyu but it was angus...
