Friday Market in Kuwait, also known as Souq Al Jumaa, is a must-visit destination for bargain hunters and those looking for a unique shopping experience. Sprawling across a large area, it offers everything from second-hand goods to new products at unbeatable prices.

Highlights:

Diverse Range of Products: The market has an impressive variety of items, including furniture, clothing, home décor, electronics, and antiques. It’s also a great place to find vintage and second-hand items that you won’t find anywhere else.

Affordable Prices: Bargaining is a common practice here, and it’s part of the fun! You can get great deals on items like rugs, kitchenware, and traditional Kuwaiti products at a fraction of the cost compared to retail stores.

Cultural Experience: Visiting the Friday Market is not just about shopping; it's an experience in itself. The lively atmosphere, diverse crowd, and local vendors give you a taste of Kuwaiti culture and hospitality.

Livestock Section: For those interested, there’s a separate section for livestock like birds, chickens, and even pets, which adds to the traditional market feel.

Ample Parking: Despite being busy, the market has ample parking space, which makes it convenient for visitors.

Best Time to Visit:

While the market is called Friday Market, it’s actually open throughout the week, but it is busiest and most vibrant on Fridays. Arriving early in the morning is the best time to explore without the large crowds and to grab the best deals.

If you enjoy bargain shopping and want a true Kuwaiti market experience, Friday Market is the perfect place to explore. With its wide variety of goods and bustling atmosphere, it’s a great spot to spend a weekend and find unique items at...

I liled that place . I found a lot of materials in that full area . Almost everything ✨️ house hold things . Wearable things , accessories. I purchased a SWATCH WATCH ⌚️ . 2016 without battery. Works with KEY WINDING 🔑 . IT IS STILL WORKING GOOD. I gave Service in India 🇮🇳 every 2 years for my satisfaction. They applied lubricant inside for smooth function. You may wonder the cost was 4 Kuwaiti dinar at that time. The shop keeper had only 4 pieces. I went the next week for another piece and found the shop by number ,but 🙃 the watch stock was over. And so many beautiful antique monuments were available.

CARPETS may wonder. Fully packed bed, mattress, pillow. Home plants 🪴, aquarium fish 🐟 🐟, Car for sale, chair 💺 table , mirror, craft materials for project is worthy, even used things may look good, leave the dress 👗 👌. But for painting 🖼 wall, mason jobs these cloths may be useful. But house 🏠 hold things were in really pretty ok 👍 condition. Over all this place is a must visit to explore materials of Kuwait 🇰🇼. Take photo and search for new if u wish it ✨️ 🤞 ✨️ good luck 👍 😊

Bus stop available straight to it. Just next to...

An open air market like no other. You can literally find anything and everything here. Don't turn your nose up to whats considered the junk area. There are some real gems to be had there. We got a used Juniors double stroller in great condition for 15kd. Often times items just need to be cleaned or have a simple corrective measure applied in order to be perfectly fine. Sometimes the sellers don't even know the value of the items they are selling. I once bought a surefire light for 2kd that retailed for more than 30kd and only needed a special kind of battery. Most items are negotiable and of course you will also see lots of actual junk as well.

In other areas you can find brand new items for every room of your house. Quality ranges from super cheap all the way up to fairly expensive. Still possibly the best place in kuwait to get good deals on practically anything your looking for.

The only depressing aspect of friday market is the pet section which deserves a separate 1 star...

It's a good place. You can find lots of stuff used and new one. It's mostly packed with Bangladesh people. If you have any friend from same country or you know Hindi language it's easy to communicate and bargain for the price. Bargaining is more important since you have to let them know ur price before you buy. Anything you can get here and all are different big shaded tent. This place is open from Thursday , Friday and Saturday for all week. Remaining days it's closed. Big parking space available in front and back side , but Friday it's difficult to get the parking. There are many pick up drivers and half lorry driver are available to deliver your stuff. They will be following you behind , and you can talk and bargain for the delivery cost to ur area. Check the quality before you buy and mostly usable stuff available. Better not to take small kids since it's long and big place and you need to walk to search stuff.
