Bar d’amour beach — Local services in Mount Lebanon Governorate

Bar Damour really isn’t what it used to be. If you’ve been going there for years like I have, you’ll feel the change. The service has become very slow, the food was disappointing and the chicken was uncooked, and the music was just one track on repeat the whole time.

Prices are diabolical and they doubled since previous years, 11$ for mediocre edamame?!

I’ve always supported this place and had great memories here, but there have been more and more letdowns. One time, they confirmed our booking for a friend’s birthday, and we only found out they were closed when we showed up. No notice, no apology.

There’s also no clear rule when it comes to who they let in. Sometimes two guys are allowed in, other times they say you need a woman with you. It feels like they change the policy depending on how full or empty the place is. It would be better if they had a clear, fair system, not one based on who they need at the moment.

Today really felt like the last straw. It’s sad to see a place I used to love...

We spent a full day at Bar D'amour beach club. It was excellent. Its very clean, calm, and the service was excellent. They have an amazing beach and a great pool that stays cool all day long. Unlike other beach clubs around they are often crowded amd blasting loud music thinking it cool. Whereas this place had music playing in the background. Food options were very good amd tasty. Came here on a Sunday, spent the whole day and had a blast! The water in the pool is pretty cold, but you get over it quickly. Food and drinks were fresh, tasty and affordable. Everything is really clean and well taken care of, including the beach and especially the sand.
