BŪTINA APLANKYTI! Parnidžio kopa – pustoma smėlio kopa į pietus nuo Nidos, Kuršių Nerijoje. Tai viena aukščiausių smėlio kopų Europoje, iškilusi 52 m virš jūros lygio, seniau jos aukštis siekė daugiau kaip 60 m. Į šiaurę nuo kopos stūkso Urbo kalnas, į pietus – tarpkopinė raguva, vadinamasis Tylos arba Mirties slėnis, negyvosios kopos. Rytuose kopos šlaitai remiasi į Kuršių marias. Pietinė kopos dalis apželdinta kalnų pušimis. Parnidžio kopa įeina į baltųjų kopų masyvą. Šios kopos taip vadinamos dėl šviesų atspalvį smėlynams suteikiančio kvarco, kurio smėlyje yra nuo 85 iki 99 procentų. Parnidžio kopa nuolat slenka Kuršių marių link ir dej, žemėja. 1675–1854 m. čia buvo užpustyti keturi Naglių kaimai, 1955–1973 m. kopos smėlis užpylė gretimą pamario palvę ir dalį Nidos įlankos. Vietiniai gyventojai mano, kad kopos pavadinimas kilęs nuo frazės „perėjusi per Nidą“, nes kopa kelis kartus „perkeliavo“ per Nidos gyvenvietę (Per-Nidą/...

Honestly, if it's your first time seeing dunes, it can be a nice experience, but it's nothing like that Dunes de Pilat in France or the Sahara. We got in and out...
