Generally in Sabah it's very hard to find quality products. And if you find them they cost you at least 3 times the average price you find globally including Malaysia Peninsula.
So I can't rate anything 5 stars because mostly a lot of low quality products only. But, compared to other supermarkets in Sabah this one with Merdeka and Gaint are my top 3 supermarkets for Price/Quality.
Again, you can find occasionally better quality in supermarkets or other shops if occasionally a shipment just come in with higher quality products. But the price then immediately explodes.
If your items don't necessarily need cooling, exp. date 3+ months, flying to Kuala Lumpur with extra luggage bought upon booking and buy your products in Kuala Lumpur is much cheaper than buying in Sabah.
Many supermarkets in KL sell European and American products 3 times or more cheaper so if you do shopping for like 300+ USD at once you easily save 1000+ USD on the price in KK by going to KL and the flight if you book wisely with extra luggage cost you 200USD return.
Take the plane early morning 5:30, you arrive at 8:00 and get a grab to downtown KL where you arrive between 9:00 and 9:30 depending on traffic and return in the afternoon at 17:00 or if you want to do more in KL return at 20:00 or whatever flight, flights between KL and KK are like bus rides in other countries so it's very convenient actually.
Just go shopping in KL and save yourself a few hundred USD.
AGAIN: THIS ONLY APPLIES FOR QUALITY PRODUCTS! Local products are only 10-40% more expensive compared to KL so for local products a flight...
Read moreMy best place to get my groceries and a lot of things going on at just one place. Servay Hypermarket Inanam is super friendly to their customers. When it comes to the grocery part, they get a lot of options and the price from the cheapest to quite expensive but still affordable. Inside Servay at level 2 you are able to bring your kids to play at BEE FUN LAND. While the kids are playing, parents can relax because there's a space for the guardian to sit down and look at the children.

Read moreI recently visited the mall and had a frustrating experience while looking for shampoo. The promoter suggested a different product, but when I declined, she brought up a boycott issue and she thought I must be one of the people who believe the boikot tiktok video which is trending now, she showed us a video about why we shouldn't boikot. I didn't choose the shampoo because I use it before and it's not suitable for me. Despite having other reasons for not choosing that shampoo, I politely declined again. Later, near the shampoo section, I overheard the promoter talking loudly with her friend, criticizing us for not educating ourselves about boycotting issues. She literally standing behind me, I really wanted to ignore what she said but she is too much to ignore. Please teach your staff to at least have professionalism while she's on duty.
I'm disappointed—is this the kind of customer service at EG Mall Servay? Should customers feel pressured to buy what staff suggest?
The staff was suggesting using Aiken Shampoo.
