Bukit Pelindung — Local services in Pahang

Took this trail with the family for the first time Monday. Ended up climbing up to the 690 and then took the road back down. The trails were free of rubbish and the guide ropes were in good shape. Beautiful stretch of jungle with some old uniquely shaped trees. As we were hiking we could also hear hornbills barking in the distance. The bukit pelindung trail is ideal for a quick exercise session. You could easily go up the hill and back down in an hours time. Also I didn’t see any monkeys on the trail which is nice. The monkeys at the near by teluk cempedek are aggressive. Bukit Pelindung is worth a visit if you are wanting a short, relatively easy, jungle trek. Make sure you bring a little water with you. The best trail for orang kuantan! Either you are casual or experienced hikers you will enjoy the trail. The distance is aroud 3k up and down. Suitable to bring kids. There is toilet but last time its lock. You can choose easy route by road or more advanture slow and steady hike through the forest. But please keep safety first! Bring someone ya! Usually around 7am there already many people around especially in weekends....

Simple trek from Teluk Cempedak. It takes about 50mins to reach the telecom towers. Unfortunately, there's no view point along the way and on top. Just enjoy the walk and green surrounding. The trek is shared with mountain bike, as there are few ramps - you may perform somersault if you wish, hahaha..!! :-D Trek yang tidak sukar - simple je. Trek dari Teluk Cempedak lebih menarik berbanding trek jalan tar (dari kawasan perumahan di kaki bukit, on the other side), kerana trek Teluk Cempedak lebih kepada 'jungle trek'.

Trek ini juga digunakan oleh peminat 'mountain bike' - terdapat beberapa biji 'ramp' di sepanjang laluan. Kalau pejalan kaki, boleh je kalau nak buat 'somersault' di ramp ini, hahaha..!!!

Tapi, di sini tiada 'puncak tinjau' (view point), jadi tiada pemandangan panorama - setakat enjoy trekking dan nikmati kehijauan alam je la..

Masa trekking, lebih kurang 50 min dari Teluk Cempedak ke menara pemancar. Sementara turun lebih kurang 35 min je - sangat mudah. Tapi berpeluh sakan juga le.. Bagus...
