We don't trek to reach the peak. We reached the peak in our car. Theres nothing much in the top. But the ones who trek, they'll like it to finally reach the destination. But then one precious thing we get is pure fresh air. From there one can enter Mossy forest and Mt Irau trek too. Mt Irau need prior permission though.

Driving can be tricky if it rains, as the roads are very narrow. Only one car space. Only after we reached down and was having dinner, the local person said that to go to the peak one must have 4WD, normal cars cant climb and sustain the narrow road. Alas, it was a shocker, we managed with no difficulty. But ofcourse our driver, the Mr is a good driver with good...

This rather easily accessible summit provides you with a nice view over the peaks and valleys in and surrounding Tanah Rata. Perfect for a day’s excursion from TR. Suggestible hire a guide from TR’s tourist information centre. When I visited the area (back in 2007) it was Mr. Dinesh (Nash) who guided us up on this mountain. He, and I suppose most other authorised guides, taught me lots about the nature while walking/climbing. Extremely interesting and educating in this Malaysian “garden...

We chose this track because we didn't want to go to Mossy which is crowded with tourists, you meet cars there and walk on a groomed footbridge. If you're an adventurer, go here. It's steep but it's fun. From the top we headed towards Bharad tea plantation. It was about 12 km but without tourists and with great views. It's quite slippery and you get dirty on the way down but that's the adventure, isn't it? We met a lot of locals and also a lot of orchards and...

This is trail no 10 from Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands. Entrance to Jasar /trail head from where I started has been developed to houses for Prima Homes. Sad, but I hope they keep the area open for hikers. Short hike with clear pathways to the peak overseeing Tanah Rata town. Do wear proper shoes as it can be slippery.

#lovenature #tourhike #solohike #staysafe
