🌿 A Day at HoHo Farm, Batang Kali — Where Time Slows Down 🌾
Last weekend, I took a slow drive to Batang Kali, a quiet town surrounded by hills and greenery in Selangor. My destination? A place that had been popping up on travel blogs and whispered by café lovers — HoHo Farm, also known as Hoho Fruit & Vege Park.
The moment I turned into Taman Desa Patin, I could already sense the calm. The road narrowed, the air turned cooler, and patches of green began to appear between the houses. When I finally arrived, the sight was simple yet refreshing — rows of vegetables, little garden corners, fruit trees, and wooden fences that gave the place a countryside charm.
HoHo Farm started as a small family project. From what I learned, the founders wanted to escape city life and live closer to nature. Over the years, their love for farming turned this quiet patch of land into an organic farm, where visitors can see where their food truly comes from.
But the real gem of HoHo Farm is the Kebun.hly Café, a rustic little spot sitting right beside the vegetable beds. The café’s walls are made of exposed red bricks, surrounded by greenery and the sound of birds. Inside, the atmosphere is cozy and peaceful — no loud music, just soft chatter and the aroma of coffee drifting through the open air.
I ordered a slice of cake and an iced latte, then sat outside under the shade of a tree. From there, I could see families walking around, kids running between the rows of plants, and a couple taking photos near the garden. It felt like time had slowed down.
Unlike big commercial farms, HoHo Farm isn’t about fancy tours or ticketed attractions. It’s a “come, sit, and breathe” kind of place. You can wander through the garden, take photos, or just sip coffee while watching the clouds drift over the hills.
Before I left, I picked up a few bunches of freshly harvested vegetables — simple, healthy, and grown right there on the land. It felt good to support something so real and rooted in love for nature.
HoHo Farm only opens on Fridays, weekends, and public holidays (10 AM to 5 PM), so plan your visit accordingly. But trust me — it’s worth the drive.
If you ever need a quiet escape not far from Kuala Lumpur, come here. Sit at Kebun Café, enjoy a cup of coffee, and let nature remind you that life doesn’t always have...

Nestled amidst the verdant landscape of Serendah, Ho Ho Farm offers a breath of fresh air for city dwellers seeking a rustic retreat. While the farmstay itself is a haven for relaxation, the true hidden gem lies within – the Kebun Cafe.
A Cafe Embraced by Nature Kebun Cafe isn't your typical cafe. Imagine stepping into a charming open-air space adorned with greenery. Sunlight filters through the leaves, creating a dappled effect on the tables, and the gentle breeze carries with it the calming sounds of nature. It's a picture of tranquility, perfect for unwinding with a cup of coffee and a good book.
Freshness on a Plate The cafe's menu focuses on using seasonal ingredients, with a strong emphasis on local and organic produce, possibly grown right on the farm itself. This translates to dishes bursting with freshness. From what I've heard, their cakes and pastries are a must-try.
A Feast for the Senses A visit to Kebun Cafe is more than just a meal; it's a sensory experience. Imagine digging into a slice of homemade carrot cake, its moist texture and warm spices complemented by the subtle sweetness of natural honey. As you savor each bite, the chirping of birds fills the air, and a gentle breeze carries the scent of blooming flowers.

Read moreWe were quite a large group staying in the Hoho Farm Homestay for 3 days 2 nights. We were all badly bitten by god knows what kind of bugs. And the itch lasts for over 3 weeks and left marks on our skin even after a month. During evening time was the worst as thousands of mosquitoes (large ones) came and bit all of us, whether when we were in the room, the toilet or at the dining area. You can simply just clap your hands and easily kill a few mosquitoes. We literally stepped and killed so many mosquitoes on the floor with our feet. There were so much blood stains on the floor after that, just like a crime scene. It was a horrible experience. Despite that, the place was a good place for gathering with large groups. Steamboat with soup and organic vegetables were prepared by the host. Utensils were clean. We were given a box of free organic vegetables from the farm before we check out. However, I would never go there again due to the horrible mosquitoes & bugs...
