Merkanti Beach Club 16+ — Local services in Saint Julian's

I am really disappointed about this place. The cocktails and the food are really bad, being this an "exclusive place", the quality of its products is very poor and with prices that do not compensate what they sell you. During my stay there, we had a very unfortunate inconvenience since a person from the hotel staff gave us the wrong information about the prices of the day by the pool and we resulted in a very uncomfortable problem with the manager of this place. There were two people who tried to give us a solution and with whom we could not reach an agreement, so they called their General Manager, this person was really rude, not very understanding and treated us as if we were doing something wrong. When the problem caused by them was finally fixed, this Manager tells us that we cannot return to this Beach Club. This person does not have any type of training to deal with clients or respect for anyone because his attitude at all times was trying to offend us. We almost didn't go here due to poor ratings but I'm so glad we did. We rented a cabana that faced the ocean (€200 for the day for 2 people). We were able to redeem €100 of that €200 on food and drinks. For €100 we got a welcome prosecco with an ice lolly in it (so good!), 2 coffees, a large water, dips and bread, caesar salad with chicken, fries, club sandwich, 1 x cocktail, 1 x soft drink, a large fruit platter with lots of variety and 2 x ice creams. So was good value for money in my opinion for a beach club. The service was great, we just rang a call button when we wanted something and the servers came to take our order. Food came relatively quickly and service was friendly. We were on the cabana though (most expensive option), so I think they prioritise the service for them. Pool was lovely, DJ started from 4-6pm, nice chill vibes, not a party pool club. All in all we had an awesome, relaxing day with great food, service and comfort and we'd gladly...

Fab experience at Merkanti beach club which is situated at the far end and part of Hilton Malta. Incredible staff, Andrea, Isaac and the team were friendly and knowledgeable. This year Merkanti is adults only classifying as 16+, think more chilled Ibiza feel. It is quiet away from the main family areas so perfect for those who want to swim, eat, rest. Overlooking a stunning panoramic sea backdrop and with beautiful large cabana beds (advise reserving one ahead) with curtains along with plenty of sunbeds across 2 pools. Towels are available there so you don't need to bring them from the main area.

Children under 16 not permitted.

Food was a mixture of burgers, salads, pasta, sushi, and some signature mains. We had chicken thighs and the mushroom pizza which was recommended and delicious. Great selection of cocktails and drinks.
