Fat Harry's Pub — Local services in Saint Paul's Bay

I actually don’t even want to give this place a star … the service was terrible !!! And for some reason the sad excuse for a barman seems to think it’s ok to leave beer standing on the counter for 10 min and then top it up with a fresh bust of the beer on tap to make it look like it’s freshly poured when they do you the huge solid of actually serving it to you …. When you did manage to flag down a server they were so unfriendly and so slow with doing anything … we waited over an hours for our food while we were trying to drink warm flat beer … and when it did come … we took a bite each, paid and walked out !!! Pork Belly that was so fatty and wobbly … not a crisp piece in site .. and fish and chips that liked and tasted like it has been living in a bottle of oil ….. So if you have 50 euros you want to pour down the drain.. this is the place for you … we were there at 3:30 and were asked to moved from the table we were at as they had a booking at 20:00 for this table … 4 1/2 hours later .. but guess based on the speed of their work this does make sense …. they should not have bothered as the horrible food had us out there 20 min later … really disgusting and will never support...

My fiancé & I came here for dinner & a few cocktails for happy hour. The cocktails were INCREDIBLE. The food was okay, some of the roast was spicy which wasn’t mentioned on the menu or anything, but nothing stood out with the taste for the food so little disappointed in that. The seats were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. The gentlemen’s toilet wasn’t maintained very well. We were also waiting an extremely long time for drinks, we weren’t expecting that as every other place is usually faster with the drinks so quite surprised by that.

Different staff came to our table throughout the meal, but one staff member who stood out was the lovely man who had such a great sense of humour & always full of smiles & laughs. I think his name was Fahal, or Falah? It was written on the staff receipt when I seen the bill but my receipt has Trainee written down.

But if you see this sir, you made our experience a lot better, thank you for such a lovely dining experience & keep doing what you’re doing. We wanted to give you a tip but didn’t see a tip option sadly. But, if we come here again, we will sneak a cheeky tip into...

I went there twice. The first time, I arrived with a group of 12 people. It was late, around 9pm, and I knew it would be difficult to accommodate so many people to eat, yet the waitresses couldn’t be nicer. They arranged the tables to sit us outside as the pub was full inside and they took our order. It took them very long, but the food was good and plenty. Everyone was happy. In that moment, I realised it would be the perfect place to make a last supper with the whole group of 39 people, so I asked the waitress. We organised it and we had the perfect night two evenings later, with live music by Amanda David and Dennis Grubic. We ate well, we sang, we danced and we had a lot of fun.
