OPito - Portuguese Takeaway — Local services in Saint Paul's Bay

It’s so good! We flew in from Porto and this little diner just happened to be blocks away from our hotel. The only thing we did not try when we were in Portugal was the stew and the chicken, so why not, We had a wonderful time chatting with the daughter and mom. Booked a half hog after our meal and can’t wait to go back and eat it again! (The roasted hog requires 2 days of booking in advanced, it needs to come from the farm and being marinated for a full day) we are lucky that one other guest agreed to share a full hog with us, each of us gets half! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

OPito is an absolute gem! They are one of the few that offer Portuguese peri peri chicken and Pataniscas de Bacalhau and Feijoada. Incredibly well priced, and the portions are generous.

We also had succulent pork ribs, chouriço, all in a special machine imported from Portugal for rodizios and other grills. Genuine commitment to quality.

Charming menu display and a friendly, attentive staff who make you feel right at Portugal. This place delivers.

Had two takeaways from here while staying in St Paul's Bay. Had a whole chicken each night! Also tried the Portuguese sausage!

Had some lovely conversations with the mother and daughter who own the place, and they were very kind and hospitable! They let me try some bacalhau for free too!

The food is super tasty and fresh, and the staff are great, so I fully recommend people come here and give it a try.
