cinepolis (The Shoppes) — Local services in Baja California Sur

Tried calling to find out if they had an English showing, nobody answered and was on hold for ages before giving up. The ticket station isn’t open, you buy at the food & drink checkout. I tried buying via their website on two different cards to save time trying to communicate basic Spanglish. We showed them the online time & movie to watch & was told no. I don’t know what their no was referring to. So I repeated myself a few times via google translate. They sold me my tickets 25 minutes into the movie.. luckily it was 3 hours long but the whole experience almost made us give up & leave. P.s “SUB” is the showing for English dialect with Spanish subtitles, it didn’t annoy me too much with the letters across the movie but thought it would help if other people also were trying to search for English speaking movies prior...

The overall experiance was nice had good service at entry. However when i did get in line their was no coordination on behalf of the movietheatre people where just in and out of line soo i was like what? Same think happend when orderin the food they just cut in line when they had already got out of line whitch was really dispointing, and the biggest issue i had was when buiyng i order pack #12 had 2 icee's, popcorn and some candy for $207 what was displayed employe mentioned to me that their was no candy so if it was going to be cheaper soo he quoted to be no because the original price is at $238 including the candy that it had not been update and was like in my head hhmmm not my fault, and then laught about it and wispered somthing into another employes ear so i was charged the same $207 and got no candy....

My family finally returned to see a movie in a theater after a long break due to COVID.

We enjoyed this theater. It offered showings of English language movies with Spanish subtitles.

The screen was bright and the sound was loud but solid. The room temperature was comfortable. However, the popcorn was stale and the fountain soda may have made me ill. As is typical, refreshments cost more than price of admission (which was very reasonable).

I appreciated that we could purchase tickets online and use QR codes instead of paper tickets for convenience.

The film we saw had very few attendees, but unfortunately most arrived after it started and some people chose to have conversations during the movie.
