My 2 girlfriends and I had wanted to make 3 reservations for massages at noon at the El Faro Beach club, but they said they wouldn't be able to do that since they only had to masseuses. So we decided to just book 2 and the other friend would wait by the pool till they were done. Along with the 2 massages, we also planned to pay for a cabana for the day. The front desk of the hotel asked us in the morning if we still wanted the massages and we confirmed that yes we were looking forward to them. When we got to the beach club we wanted to reserve the cabana, but sit at the pool while 2 of 3 girls got their massages. They said we wouldn't be able to do that... So we decided to go by the pool and then would reserve the cabana after the massages. We sat ourselves at some chairs and watched for 1 hour while they sat, took orders and brought food/drinks out to 3 different parties after us. During this time we asked for towels twice and when they brought finally after 45min they were wet. The lack of service was not because they were busy or because they were under staffed, because we watched 3 waitresses standing behind the bar on their phones. We also checked in on our massages and they said that they only had one masseuse, so we would have to take turns. This was irritating because we had confirmed with the front desk that morning that we were still wanting the two massages at noon. We had come to the beach club intending to spend money, to get massages, have drinks and food and to hangout all day. However, after not being helped even a little bit we decided it was not worth it to us to spend $120 on massages that we would have to wait to have each of our turns. We sat in the sun with no umbrella, no towels and no drink order even placed for 45min. So when a man came to us to tell us about the massages at noon and how they all of a sudden had 2 masseuses, we had already decided we would spend our day else where. It was very disappointing and irritating, definitely not the relaxing vibe where you want to pay for a massage.

I would NEVER recommend Guaycura Boutique Beach Club and...

My girlfriends and I packed up and were excited to spend a day filled with massages, sunshine and enjoying the last day of our vacation. We arrived right as they opened in prep for our appointment for massage at noon. We wanted to coordinate reserving a beach cabana and we were quoted 500 pesos - we gladly agreed. Before going to the beach we wanted to relax by the pool for 45 minutes before our appointment times. Reasonable, right? Well that request apparently sent them over the edge. We relaxed in some pool chairs waiting for help and weren’t brought towels. We had a few groups around us that got towels, drinks, and food. There were about 8 servers working, and none of them came to us. We had to go to them 2 times asking for towels and help with our umbrella. We also were told that one of the masseuses didn’t show up and we would have to split our massages. At this point we were legitimately unset, and the attendant came to let us know the 2nd attendant showed up and brought us waters. This was 45 minutes after we arrived. In the end we were offended, felt disrespected and end up leaving upset. We were shocked at being treated this way. Maybe it was because we were three young women? Regardless, I wish we would have booked day passes at villa Santa Cruz or stayed at hotel...

Though the setting of El Faro was beautiful and picturesque, our experience there was extremely disappointing. My husband and I planned a pool day for all of our wedding guests following our wedding celebration recently. Originally planned for May 2020, the event was postponed to October 2021. On the original invoice it clearly states that the cost of the meal we provided included a day pass for each of our guests. When we arrived it was immediately obvious that they had not planned on us using any of the facilities. The coordinator immediately informed me that, contrary to what the contract stated, none of our guests were welcome use the pool, beach chairs, etc. though we were able to come to an agreement and all of our guests could stay, my husband and I felt completely unwelcome and uncomfortable for the remainder of the day. Furthermore, the bar service caused an immense amount of stress for the remainder of the day because not only was the bartender completely overwhelmed and inexperienced, but he was unable and unwilling to separate bar tabs for our guests, which was only discovered well into the day. Needless to say, this day, which we had been looking forward to for over two years was a complete disaster and I would never recommend a group plan an...

The wife and I drove from San Jose Del Cabo to El Faro Beach. Stumbled upon this beautiful place by just typing in "restaurants" on Google maps and started scanning the shore line all the way to Todos Santos. The drive here was beautiful. It was amazing going from nothing to ending up in somewhat of an Oasis. We were greeted by one of the waiters. He sat us for lunch. What I wish I would have known prior to sitting was that we could have had lunch by the pool or down by the beach. To go to the pool or beach though requires a separate charge for both. I believe the fee to the pool area was $400 pesos and beach access was around $600 pesos. Both not bad prices for such a beautiful place. Go to know for next time. I gave this place a 4 star review simply because of the food. We ordered chips and guacamole, beef burger and flank steak. Guacamole and burger didn't seem like it had proper seasoning nor flavor. The flank steak was very impressive how it came out and served but the meat was very gristle. Besides that, very impressive location. I hope to come back one day with the kids and enjoy the pool.

Club de playa. $600 por día. Tiene restaurante, alberca pequeña con pool-bar. Solo conocimos el lugar y nos retiramos ya que no teníamos tiempo de quedarnos.

The middle-of-nowhere location just blows your mind when you first reach here. Followed by the very friendly staff. The bar tender (Ivan) makes some nice Mexicano drinks/mixes. The food was really good, one of the best oceanside pool bar restaurant food that we've had in Baja California Sur. Oh and the drive! I'm not sure if the 55 min drive from San Lucas was better, or the serene and scenic destination. Not to mention that we saw whales from our poolside table, while waiting for the food. Coming to the wait; It took more than one hour to get our food (group of only three people). But I am still going for 5 stars for this place, because in my opinion, having travelled this far, one must definitely take the drive and spend a few hours at this place, looking at the ocean and sipping the drinks, while watching whales splash in the distance! Totally rejuvenating!!
