El Mirador Ocean View Restaurant in Todos Santos is hands down one of the best dining experiences we had during our entire trip through Baja. The combination of outstanding food, jaw-dropping views, and exceptional service makes this place an absolute must-visit.
Perched up on a mountain overlooking the Pacific, the setting is something special. Even at noon, with the sun shining bright, it was surprisingly chilly and windy due to the elevation—definitely bring a sweater or light jacket if you plan to sit outside (which you absolutely should). The breeze and the panoramic ocean view create a vibe that’s hard to beat. The road to it is kind of scary and
Absolutely, here’s the paragraph you can add to the review:
Getting to the restaurant is part of the adventure. The road leading up is unpaved and winds up the mountain with one particularly steep section, but nothing our rental car couldn’t handle. Just take it slow and steady—it’s absolutely worth it once you arrive. The remote location only adds to the charm and exclusivity of the experience.
The food? Flawless. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—definitely the best we had in the area. Whether it was seafood, cocktails, or dessert, everything hit the mark.
A big shoutout to Luis, our server, who truly made the experience memorable. Not only was he incredibly attentive and friendly, but he also shared a ton of interesting info about the area’s culture, history, and even local legends. It felt more like a private guided experience than just lunch.
El Mirador lives up to its name in every sense. Five stars, and we’ll be back...

Read moreDon’t let the long dirt road stop you from going to this excellent restaurant. We found the restaurant via google search while visiting the area, we wanted an ocean view for lunch and followed the directions until we came to a dirt road with still 2.5 miles to go and only a dirt road we decided to go for it and boy were we surprised, once you go up the hill and turn the corner you see the ocean and a tip of a hut, then the closer you get you see this beautiful restaurant with an awesome view of the ocean. They were open yet so we waited and just looked at the beautiful gardens around the restaurant. Once they opened boy were we in for a bigger surprise what we thought was going to be a taco restaurant was a gourmet food with a Mexican twist. From the pear salad to the grilled octopus and grilled shrimp it was all delicious. The sauces on the shrimp and octopus were fabulous with the items grilled perfectly. Our only regret was we didn’t have room for dessert. I would only make the trip during daylight since it’s a very long dirt road with no lights, but well...
