Fun Baja was an amazing dive shop to work with. Selene was responsive via phone and email for any questions I had about booking. The dive shop is in a little corner of the Hyatt hotel. I do wish the hotel had some knowledge of the dive shop schedule because when I asked the front desk about the dive shop they seemed to not know much.
We booked 2 days of 3 tank dives. Our guide was Elena and she was absolutely amazing. The first day me and my wife were lucky enough to be the only divers. Elena was super helpful by giving my wife a little refresher and some tips as she is a new diver. The second day we were joined by another couple for a total of 5 divers including the dive master (Elena). We did 2 dives at Los Islotes with the famous sea lions and they were an absolute blast to play with. The last dive was a wreck. This was our first wreck dive and Elena made it super easy for us.
Both dives we were provided with water, soda, snacks, and delicious lunch. The boat ride to the dive sites are pretty long (over an hour). We had good conditions but would recommend motion sickness meds. We brought our own gear and Fun Baja cleaned and stored our gear and had it all ready for us the next day. Even they last day, they had our gear cleaned and dry for check out. We highly recommend Fun Baja and will definitely be...
Read moreAMAZING!!!! Fun Baha is a first class operation that trully cares about its customers and ensuring they have an incredible experience. Haveing scuba dived all over the world I can say that Fun Baha is the best dive company I have ever seen. From safety to professionalism they are the only company to go with. All of the dive masters speak very good English, are friendly, and really happy to help. The 11 boats this company has are outfitted with brand new motors and kept in great condition. After the dives they usually take you to a private secluded island where a cheif cooks lunch at a base camp set up and ran by them for no extra cost. The owner of the company Enrique is very involved and always trying to go that extra mile for his customers. After the dives are over you can usually find him hanging around and socializing with the clients to recommend resturants and local attractions.
One last thing. Several other hotel guests were disapointed with the comany they went with and ended up going with fun baha in the end. Fun Baha is a bit more in cost but definitly worth every Paso. You will not be disapointed going with...
Read moreThe Whale Shark Swimming snorkelling trip was an amazing day out. We had a small group of 3 people with an experienced guide, Michelle and the captain of a well equipped boat, snacks and water. We were supplied with full wetsuits as at this time of the year the water was a bit chilly, snorkels and fins. Michelle was very professional and gave very informative details on the how to swim with these beautiful majestic creatures without encroaching on their personal space. We even were able to detect our Whale Sharks name as his tag was visible when he came to the surface. His name was Raphael, but on that day he didn't really seem to want to swim with the humans and kept going deep each time we jumped in to view him. Still a wonderful day out and would definitely recommend Fun Baja to do this...
