Played yesterday and overall I give it a 3.5/5. The course itself was in great shape. Layout was interesting and fun. Lots of holes on the ocean or with an ocean view. Plenty of whale sightings too. Three reasons why I’m not giving it a 5: 1. Price. Paid $295 + $69 for my wife to ride after 1pm. $395 if you want to play in the morning. Definitely on the higher end for Cabo. Just didn’t have the cache that other $300+ courses have and I think $69 for a rider is ridiculous. 2. Lack of Clarity. They say food and drinks are included, but it’s only partially true. You get 1 beer pre-round and anything from the snack cart. But if you order tacos, or get a mixed drink at the clubhouse, it’s full price. Then, while on the course, there are drink stations where you get some hot food, but it’s limited to hot dogs and empanadas. You also get 1 drink per pass, but at the stations you CAN get a mixed drink. It was confusing and felt hokey. 3. Wind. Obviously they can’t control weather, but the wind was nearly unplayable. 3-4 club wind all afternoon and half the holes play DIRECTLY into it. Poor design IMO. I wanted a fun vacation round, but it felt like a 18-round heavyweight battle. Playing before the wind picks up might change my tune, but I think for the price, I was disappointed in the way the food/drink deal was presented.

Incredible course. Wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy the Norman designed dune course (they are tough), but despite my score, I found this course extremely fun and challenging to play. Well worth the drive and play and would certainly recommend to anyone. Has to be one of the nicest public courses down here. Plenty of wind and sand to make your day miserable if you let it. Gave me a chance to work on low ball flight and sand wedge practice. Traps are heavy and really kill the ball. Aside from the golf, the food is free while you play! Great food, free drinks and snacks and good people…what more could you want during a round.

We love this place, especially the staff, Aquiles, remembers us everytime, Rafa, Cesar ,Alberto, best ever to help at the front with the car and luggage.. Jorge at the snack bar, and Daniel and Lupito , guest services for stretching and the bike ride. Wonderful staff that help us in many ways!!

TOTAL SCAM !!!! & The reviews are fake.

Beware of Scammers at the Marina!

We recently had a frustrating experience that could have easily turned into a scam. While visiting the marina, we met a man named Pablo at a tequila tasting spot. He convinced us to buy a "golf package for two" for $100 USD. We only gave him a deposit of 500 pesos, and he promised to pick us up and take us to the golf course.

When we arrived at the resort, Pablo demanded the balance. However, there was already someone else talking to the receptionist, so he quickly walked away before we could ask any questions. That’s when we realized we weren’t at a golf course but had been dragged into a time-share presentation.

The presentation, which was supposed to take only one hour, dragged on much longer. The salespeople were pushy, and when my husband and I refused their offers, the salesman became dismissive and even tried to belittle us, implying we couldn’t afford the deal. He claimed he didn’t care whether we bought or not, but his attitude said otherwise. As we kept saying no and pointed out we were never told it was a time-share, his demeanor completely changed.

To make matters worse, the resort was remote, sad, and had a depressing atmosphere. The workers looked like they were stuck in purgatory, adding to the uncomfortable vibe.

After we continued to decline their smaller time-share offer, they finally gave us the “complimentary gifts” of golf rounds that were promised. But the ordeal didn’t end there—after we left, Pablo started texting us, claiming we still owed him the balance. This was clearly a scam, as the golf rounds were supposed to be free in exchange for our time at the presentation. Thankfully, we didn’t pay him anything beyond the 500 pesos deposit, but we’ve heard of others who weren’t so fortunate.

Beware of this place and avoid Pablo at all costs. Don’t fall for the fake promises—it’s all...

LIES, LIES, LIES! Avoid this golf course/resort as it is tied to the Hacienda Tequila Marina Cabo San Lucas store that offers tequila tasting. Especially avoid Pablo as he is nothing more than a thief standing behind a tasting counter. We tasted several types of tequila and when we asked prices on certain bottles he lied about the prices but said if we go look at the Rancho San Lucas golf course and have breakfast there, the price of the bottles would be $300 instead of $900. We asked 3 times if this was a timeshare presentation or something similar and he again lied 3 times and said it wasn't. He told us the total commitment time would be 2 hours including travel time, breakfast, and a tour of the golf course. We agreed to take the 2 hours out of our valuable vacation to take a look at Rancho San Lucas golf course the next day. When I texted him the evening before I wanted to confirm that it was going to be 2 hours because we had to be back at our reset for a private excursion we had booked. He then started asking what excursions we wanted to book and said the tour would take more than 2 hours because he wanted us to spend the day and when I said we only had 2 hours he made excuses like that wouldn't work because "what if there was an accident on the highway, we wouldn't be back on time." We confronted him at the marina store the next day to ask for a refund and he said he didn't have our money and that we would have to go to the golf course to get it. Our butler was kind enough to go to the golf course to get our $300 back but they just had more excuses and lies. We were given a bogus name of a manager at the Hotel Rancho San Lucas where we could get our money back but the hotel didn't even have anyone with that name there.Needles to say Pablo and Hacienda Tequila stole our $300 in plain daylight. Lie after lie after lie, avoid...
