I had a deeply disappointing experience with Suzanne Morel for my wedding makeup. As someone with an Asian face and monolids, I specifically sent inspiration photos—like Priyanka Chopra's wedding makeup—not to copy exactly, but to guide the color palette and overall vibe. Unfortunately, it was immediately clear that the artist had little to no experience with Asian features, and made no effort to research or adapt the look to suit me.

My eyebrows were made uncomfortably thick, the eye makeup was poorly blended, and overall, the makeup did not flatter my face at all. After my trial session, I was so overwhelmed by how much I disliked everything that I didn’t even know where to start giving feedback. I ended up washing it all off and redoing it myself for our reception dinner.

Despite me telling my planner they could keep the payment and that I would do my own makeup for the wedding day, the team insisted on coming again to try. I gave them another chance, but sadly, I still looked like a clown, and with time running out before the ceremony, I had no choice but to go with it. The make up artist showed up, and essentially told me that it was my fault for sending a picture of Priyanka Chopra. I didn't want to look for Priyanka Chopra, her make up was inspiration. Looking back at my wedding photos from last year, I find myself avoiding any that show my face, which is heartbreaking for such a special day.

In short, I do not recommend this company if you’re looking for makeup that thoughtfully enhances your natural features or if you have specific needs—especially if you’re Asian or have monolids. I hired Suzanne Morel for myself and my bridesmaid's hair & makeup at my destination wedding in Cabo. I am so happy that I did! I can't explain how great communication was from beginning to end! Seamless reminder emails and follow up calls, all professional with no high pressure sales AT ALL! Her team made sure I had ALL of my questions answered before I booked and made sure all my questions were answered leading up to the wedding day! I never once felt uninformed or out of the loop.

I scheduled trial hair and makeup before my wedding day and was really glad I did, because we were able to play with hair and makeup styles so I knew exactly what to expect on my wedding day. I left feeling like a million dollars and couldn’t wait for my big day! I am also glad I did the trial appointment because it allowed her team more time to squeeze in my second bridesmaid who originally decided to do her own makeup; I was so happy they could accommodate her at the last moment.

Her team arrived on time and needed minimal space to work, which was great since we were in a typical hotel room and I never had to worry about a language barrier as they made sure one of the staff was English speaking. They worked effortlessly with each of our different skin types, tones and hair and did an amazing job on all of our looks! I couldn’t believe I looked just as beautiful 10 hours later as I did when they first finished. Truly a talented team!

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! I was referred to Suzanne Morel by my wedding coordinator for my wedding in Cabo San Lucas. Planning a wedding in another country can be a bit stressful when it comes to selecting your vendors because you haven’t worked with them before or know anyone else that has. I can honestly say that all of the staff at Suzanne Morel were amazing to work with and did an incredible job on the hair and makeup for me and my bridal party. I was fortunate enough to be able to do a hair and makeup trial a few months before my wedding which gave me an added piece of mind that they were going to do a great job on the day of my wedding. I worked with Andrea Palafox the entire time leading up to the wedding and the day of the wedding. She was so helpful and always quick to respond to my emails and phone calls. When the wedding day came, Andrea and her team showed up right on time and fully staffed to be able to provide hair and makeup for all 10 ladies.
