Today, I had a concerning experience during a premium wine tasting tour for my family of five, including my son and two nephews. While everything was progressing smoothly, the tour guide led us behind the lienzo charro to show us the grape vines. A tractor was working on the vineyard, swiping and resurfacing the area. Unfortunately, a tomato-sized rock flew out of the tractor’s working area and struck my wife on her chest. Fortunately, her purse absorbed most of the impact, but the rock splintered and shards struck my 14-month-old nephew under the left side of his lip. After the manager, who was nearby, assessed the situation, she offered a disinfecting wipe and an apology. We accepted her offer at the expense of continuing the tour. Despite this unfortunate incident, we continued the tour guide trying to make the best of the rest of the tour, but we felt like this incident wasn’t considered major to the staff that was there. We felt like this incident was brushed off. The ending of the tour we had a paid for wine tasting with a small charcuterie board, and some of my family members missed the instructions due to being very on edge, the instructions were to not finish the portion of wine so they could pair it with some cheese samples. Some of my family members missed those instructions and finished the small portion of wine and the tour guide said she couldn’t refill them because they didn’t follow instructions. I get she has to follow policy but this action made us feel not important, nothing was offered to us. No compensation only a wipe. We paid for a premium tour and due to the incident we suffered we would of thought we would have been treated a little bit more with consideration. supposedly this was the first time that something like this has ever happened per the tour guide. We came out very...
Read moreWe had a very nice experience here during our winery weekend in Tequisquiapan. This was the 4th winery we tried and was one of the most beautiful. It is popular with large groups and tours, so best to go early and beat the tour crowds. We arrived right on time - when we began our tour, a huge bus of tourists arrived and the line was very long to buy tickets. We chose to to the tour (recorrido) with 3 tastings. In our small tour group we were the only ones who chose to do 3 tastings, so we ended up having a personal wine tasting with the tour guide at the end of the tour. It was fantastic! We learned a lot and the wines were incredibly good. I am not a fan of rosado, but theirs was incredible. We ended up leaving with a bottle and would have bought more - I wish I had in retrospect. I also learned a lot - some of the tours don't go into any detail about the wine fabrication process. This one went from the very start to finish - it was very detailed. I thought the prices were reasonable if not average for this level of quality. We visited 6 wineries during our weekend and thought this was well worth the price and had some of the best wines we tried. Overall, my boyfriend and I were very pleased with the experience and we would have stayed longer if we hadn't other wineries to visit that day. I recommend you add this one to your list if you're also doing a tour of wineries. It was well worth the stop - just be sure you make this your first stop to beat the...
Read moreThis winery offers a truly beautiful experience that goes well beyond the wine itself. While I would describe the wine as good—solid and enjoyable, though not necessarily the best I've ever had—the overall atmosphere more than makes up for it. The facility is absolutely stunning, with thoughtfully designed architecture and impeccably maintained grounds that create an ideal setting for a relaxed afternoon. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with a sense of calm and elegance.
One of the best parts of the visit is the ability to freely walk around the grounds with your glass in hand. It’s not just a quick in-and-out tasting room—there’s a lot to see and enjoy. Winding pathways, beautiful gardens, shaded patios, and scenic views give you plenty of space to explore and truly unwind. Whether you're looking to sit and sip or stroll and take in the landscape, this place has something for everyone.
The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made the experience feel personal without being overbearing, and they were happy to answer questions and offer suggestions. If you're looking for a winery that offers more than just what's in the glass, this one is absolutely...
