My experience at Donato left much to be desired.

Firstly, as a traveler (not a local), I was informed that I couldn't bring my camera, even though the policy allowed for taking photos with a cellphone. However, they did not allow me to bring in my camera (I mentioned that I wouldn't use it and could easily keep it in my bag without taking any photos), insisting that I either leave it in the car or with security, without assuming responsibility for any potential damage in either option.

Furthermore, while my niece and nephew were in the grape area (where it is allowed), a security guard rudely scolded them, ignoring the fact that they were accompanied by an adult. This lack of courtesy is unacceptable, especially in a place with families and young children, where we observed others doing the same without receiving comments (We were taking a picture with our phone on the designated area)

During our visit, the long and slow lines to order drinks and food negatively impacted our experience. Additionally, the constant smell of animal excrement in the area was unpleasant.

Despite the good quality of the wine and food, my only star is due to the poor customer service, especially from the security personnel. I would not recommend this place.

My perspective is just one among many, and I respect your establishment's policies. Take what you find valuable from my review, as my intention is to contribute constructively. I hope my feedback aids in your continual improvement, focusing particularly on the ambiance, and most importantly, the staff and customer service. Frankly, these were aspects that left me less satisfied...

This is a great winery on the rout of wine, cheese, and art. Donato started out as a resistant years ago with their own beef grown on the property. They have expanded and created a winery with a great vibe. People here seemed so much happier than at other wineries around. They only grown a few grapes on site but have land locally where they grow the rest plus they have a partnership with Baja California for some of their wine blends. The tour was nice, everything is modern and new. The cellar is very cool. I don’t think they make the wine on site ( go to De Cote for that tour), and I think they have the best tasting wine in the area. Rodrigo was our tour guide and he was great, knowable, honest, and passionate about his work. This place is worth a visit, especially in the evening and night tour. Their hours are longer than most wineries so you can enjoy wine a sunset and a view of the Peña. Safe this winery for dinner as well as the meat...
