Very nice experience to get into Cenotes. This eco-park was our first stop when we started out exploring different Cenotes. It is a smaller park than some others, but very magical and almost never crowded. It is very well taken care of and has a good layout to get you to and from easy. We took an Uber from Puerto Morelos, quick trip of about 23 minutes. You can also take a collectivo van, they travel up and down the ruta de cenotes regularly. To get back, you should either schedule a ride, be prepared to wait a little for a collectivo with space or worst case, call a cab. You have to be very lucky to get an Uber to drive out and get you. If you are not being dropped off at the infopoint, be prepared for a short stroll through the jungle. Upon entering, you will receive a short introduction and off you go. Entry #1 might seem a bit steep, but it is magical to climb down into the cave. The water is nice, maybe a bit on the cooler side, but you won't be thinking about it long, while swimming inside of the cave. Lots of fish around and lights are placed to show off the cave walls. There are some bats around as well, but they usually hang out and nap. If you walk around to the bigger opening, there are a few spots for you to jump down into the cenote, quite fun! If you want to relax a little, just lounge in one of the palapas - bring your own food, snacks and drinks, no bar there. We will for sure come back again and bring the whole family, fun for everyone and you can even get close to nature and wildlife. If you come with scuba gear, you can dive through the underground cave system - which is a whole other...
Read moreWe had a great experience at Cenote 7 Bocas. The cenotes are beautiful with blue clear waters in most of them, you can access through stairs or make your jump (~12ft high). Cavern ones are well lit and they have a rope that you can follow to connect in between. Life jackets are provided and included with the entrance fee. Two of the cenotes can only be accessed with scuba gear (not offered on site), you can also bring your snorkeling gear for the rest if you wish to, not really required but will enhace your experience, snorkeling gear is not offered on site. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. Installations are well maintained and overall in very good shape. There are clean restrooms, showers and changing rooms available. The site also have shaded picnic tables, hammocks and walking paths. Parking lot is ample. If you are getting there by taxi, make sure you prearrange the two-way trip as most of the taxi drivers will be okay waiting for you, there are no taxi sites nearby. Enjoying just the cenotes only will take around 1.5 to 2hrs, but you might want to stay longer for a picnic or just for chilling out. The Cenote 7 Bocas entrance fee is at $400 pesos for foreigns ($300 pesos for mexicans). It is located in the "ruta de los cenotes", approx 25 mins away from...
Read moreWe went there and loved it. You can spend 30min going through all 5 cenotes real fast, or you can make it a day trip. Cenote Verde is at the same place. Right behind cenote #3, a short walk through the jungle. We loved that one, too. We paid $20 per person and spent a few hrs there. Very nice staff, clean, and well maintained. Bring your own food and enjoy it in the picnic area. How to get there from Cancun on a budget. From Cancun, take a van by the name of Playa Express. We paid 30 pesos per person to take us to Puerto Morelos. About a 40min drive, the vans go every 10min or so. Then, we had to walk a few blocks to find the next van by the name of Colectivo (you can google map it, or ask the guy selling drinks at the stop you get off). This van's stop is across from a park, and it runs every hour. It too costs 30 pesos. It dropped us off on the road right in front of the sign of the 7 boca. From there, we followed the signs to get to the entrance (about 20/30min). The last Conectivo van leaves at 5pm from the cenote, but the Playa Express van runs till midnight. Taxi from Purerto Morelos to the cenote would have cost...
