I cannot say enough good things about Miguel's. When I return to Mexico (God willing) I won't use any other transfer service. My family and I had a multileg trip. 7/15 from CUN to Chiquilá (Isla Holbox), 7/19 from Chiquilá to Puerto Juárez (Isla Mujeres) and 7/25 from Puerto Juárez to CUN. I made the arrangement via email several weeks in advance. The price was unbelievably inexpensive for the quality of the service. They were always on time or early and at the exact location(s)/signage we were told to look for. We had two different drivers (Jonathan and Jimmy) and both got us to our destinations as quickly (and safely) as possible. If you're not familiar with the driving/passing laws in Mexico, sit back and relax...just chill. These guys are experienced and know what they're doing.
My Spanish is very bad because I don't have native speakers to conversate with. I explained this to our driver's and asked if they would help me "practice". They were extremely gracious and helpful.
Jonathan was our driver from CUN to Chiquilá. He was very nice.
Jimmy was our driver for the other two legs of our journey. My family left Mexico with a special place in our heart for Jimmy (nothing against Jonathan!). This man was unbelievably kind to my family. I had so many questions about places, people, things, culture. I asked about a small green fruit - Jimmy taught me these were Huayas - I saw families selling at small roadside stands. He pulled over, introduced me to a family selling some and helped me purchase a bunch. He also taught me how to actually eat them; it's not as straight forward as you might think!
When Jimmy dropped us off at the airport, he asked to take a picture with my family. Man, I wish I had a copy of the photo. I was literally fighting back tears as we said our goodbyes. Silly, perhaps, but Jimmy had become like a brother to me over our time spent driving across the Yucatán Peninsula.
To my fellow Americans traveling to Mexico who will require ground transportation while there: Don't rent a car, don't take ADO, just call or email Miguel's. You WILL NOT regret...
Read moreHands down the best service! Can’t recommend this company enough. We don’t have much experience traveling out of the country and have never been to Mexico. Naturally we were concerned with safety and reliability when it came to transportation. We needed to get to and from the airport and Chiquila ferry port at odd times and didn’t want to wait around for the bus. Communicating with this company was so easy, the responses were so quick and thorough. They answered all my questions. The driver was right there with a sign of our names and the driver stopped at a convenient store during our trip to pick up some snacks. We had to change our pick up time suddenly when we were flooded out of Holbox during our stay and Miguels crew picked us up within an hours notice. We were so relieved to have this service. I highly highly recommend over any other transfer service, even the bus for value, safety, reliability and just...
Read moreThis was our first experience using Miguel's service, I have used another service before but wasn't completely satisfied so after much research I kept seeing great reviews for Miguel so I decided to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed !!! The reservation process is really easy, communication was great, Saul was waiting for us at the airport on time and he took us to our van where our driver Hugo was ready to help us with our bags. We were a group of 7, including a toddler and grandparents- the ride was perfect. Hugo is a great driver, he gave us great recommendations, make sure to stop to get snacks or anything we needed and the van was clean and comfortable. We ended up using it from Cancun airport to Chiquila, from Chiquila to Puerto aventuras and Puerto aventuras to Cancun airport, I found the prices very reasonable. Overall I would 100% recommend and certainly will use the service again....
