Nightmare Experience at Aswak Salam – AVOID AT ALL COSTS
If you’re considering buying a major appliance from this store, AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. Their customer service is abysmal, problem-solving skills are non-existent, and you might as well be buying from a secondhand shop, as they will deliver a shop-soiled item wrapped in clingfilm instead of proper packaging.
I made a significant purchase of three items. The delivery man arrived alone, expecting me to help carry heavy appliances into my home. The fridge was wrapped in clingfilm and severely damaged during transit from the van to the house, but I didn’t notice until later (which is now being subtly insinuated as me lying about it). It was clear the damage occurred during delivery, as one man alone cannot handle such large appliances.
Attempts to resolve the issue were met with constant obstacles. These people have a problem for every solution. My assistant, due to my language barrier, visited the store multiple times, but the manager was frequently absent, and staff were unhelpful. I was told to return the damaged fridge and wait for a new one. They then wanted to collect the damaged fridge without bringing a replacement, leaving me with no fridge indefinitely. I wasn’t allowed to pay for an upgrade either, since the one I bought was the last in stock and shop-soiled—none of which was communicated to me at the time of purchase. This is theft and deceit under one roof.
After two and a half months, I returned to the store, only to be met with more “protocols,” delays, and excuses. The manager dismissed the damage evidence and implied I was lying. I was told to come back another day, at which point I realized further engagement was pointless. Their handling of this issue—from delivery to resolution—has been a complete failure. You’ll end up with damaged goods and no support. The pervasive incompetence hinders effective problem-solving. It’s a frustrating ordeal with no end in sight, This review is the only recourse I have to...

Read moreGreat experience here today. Came here to buy a coffee machine. It was really easy to find someone to ask questions about the model we had in mind. The sales person was really knowledgeable and friendly. And cherry on the cake he even recommended a place in the Medina that apparently sells the best ground coffee in Essaouira. That's what I call going over and beyond. Well done...
