Day one started with a scenic escape from Marrakech to the High Atlas Mountains, passing ancient kasbahs and fortified granaries that felt like stepping into a time capsule. A visit to the iconic Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has graced the big screen in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones, was a definite highlight!

Day two took us through the picturesque Todra valley to the awe-inspiring Todra Gorge. The landscape gradually transformed into the vast Sahara, where we left unnecessary luggage behind and embarked on a camel trek into the towering dunes. The desert sunset, accompanied by a Moroccan dinner and live music around the campfire, was a sensory feast. Exploring the Sahara under a blanket of stars was an experience that lingers in your soul.

Day three brought a sunrise spectacle that many would consider a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but I hope I get to do it again. We then had the opportunity to have tea with nomads in the desert before having an authentic Moroccan lunch with a local family (another true highlight because these genuine moments set Hassan and BMT apart). After lunch, we headed back to the edge of the desert to our luxurious Riad to spend the afternoon lounging poolside before watching another desert sunset and witnessing a true desert oasis!

Finally, day four saw us reluctantly leaving this enchanting adventure, with scenic stops and a delightful last lunch. This was our first time traveling outside of the United States for our honeymoon, and we decided to go with a guided tour. Choosing Best Morocco Travel was one of the best decisions we made! The landscapes in Morocco were absolutely stunning. Every place we visited was unique and beautiful. The food was incredible we loved trying new dishes at every stop. But what really made our trip stand out were the people. Everywhere we went, we were greeted with warmth and kindness.

We booked a 5 days trip from Fes to Marrakech via Sahara desert with Best Morocco Travel, and it was an adventure I’ll never forget! Our itinerary was filled with amazing stops that really showcased Morocco beauty and diversity. We started with a scenic drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing cedar forests where we spotted playful Barbary monkeys. In Merzouga, we spent an unforgettable night in the Sahara Desert, complete with a camel trek over the dunes to a desert camp where we enjoyed a traditional dinner and music under the stars.

The journey continued through the stunning landscapes of the Todra Gorge and Dades Valley, where we explored towering red cliffs and picturesque kasbahs. Finally, on our way to Marrakech, we visited Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site with ancient mud brick buildings that made us feel like we had stepped back in time.
