City Mart Supermarket — Local services in Thanlyin

City Mart Star City is located in Block A1 of Star City.

Reviewing supermarkets is a challenging task so I will point out just some observations from using this place for my daily shopping.

In relation to good points, it is a clean supermarket and well maintained. It is evident that they keep stocks up to date. The staff are quite friendly and always smiling.

In relation to bad points, there are some issues with quality and standards control, sometimes cans can be half crushed and dented, the green peppers are often rotten, and the chicken is sometimes foul smelling.

Also, I have been inconvenienced more than once by its 9:00 pm closure. Perhaps a 10:00 pm closure time would be well received by the night owl shoppers /...

Parking is available, as part of the estate. The place itself is not so big, not so small either. This branch has more foreigner friendly stuffs than most other city mart branch of similar size and capacity. Korean, Japanese stuffs are available, plus some premium items like salmon and prawns, seabass, imported frozen steaks are also available. Small electrical appliances are also available along with plates and utensils. Variety of drinks, beers and wines, and alcohols also available. Check out has only 3 counters, so quite a queue...
