Mt. Lobuje West, also spelled as Lobuche West, is one of the widely heard and admired peaks, which stands as a small settlement of Mt. Lobuje in Khumbu region of eastern Nepal. The peak with the elevation of 6145 meters above the sea level is placed approximately 8.5 km southwest of the Everest Base Camp. The peak is among the separations of Mt Lobuje other being Lobuje Far East, Lobuje East, and Lobuche Kang. Lobuje West exhibits comparative complications than other Lobuje peaks requiring the use of ropes, crampons, and ice axe. So, this climbing asks for more technical know-how and some alpine mountaineering experience. Basically, Lobuche West peak climbing follows Everest base camp trekking trail from Lukla leading to Lobuche West base camp. Here, camp is set for acclimatization and preparation is done for further ascent to the peak. On the way the visitors can enjoy excellent vista of great Himalayan peaks including mighty Mt.
