There is a fast and slow ferry option, you don’t have to reserve it ahead and just come to the harbour to buy the ticket. 15€ for a Roundtrip to Ameland, which is a beautiful place to visit and very quiet and peaceful in January/February. In summer, the locals say it is busy and...

De veerboot naar Ameland! Vooraf te reserveren en je nummerplaat wordt herkend door het personeel die aangeeft in welke rij je met de auto moet aanschuiven. Tijdens het wachten de veerboot kun je het terrein in principe niet af. Wel kun je in een wachtruimte binnen terecht waar ook WC's zijn. Er is beperkt horeca en een winkeltje, en dat is ook afdoende. Voor honden is het wel beperkt, zorg dat je ze hebt uitgelaten voordatje het terrein oprijdt.
