Amazing Oriental — Local services in Ouder-Amstel

I have been coming to amazing oriental regularly for years! They have a great selection on international products for fair prices. Specializing in Asian products you can find everything you need for standard and unique dishes from across the continent. They also have a plethora of Surinam and even a few American products (jello, cake mix,ext.). Everything I have bought from frozen to fresh has been very high quality.

In addition to all the spices and goods you could ever need, there is also a great meal 🥘 takeaway stand at the front of the store where you can get a quick bite after you started getting hungry walking through the isles. They have boba drinks, build your plate, roti, and other fried and sweet delights.

Overall, a very good store. Staff is friendly. The fresh food section is well stocked, quite some vegetables available too. Frozen produce is abundant. You’re 99% going to find what you’re looking for in there. They also have a cute section of bowls, spoons and other ceramics.

Unfortunately, the prices are visibly higher compared to the store next to them (I checked on an example of 5 different products).

Additionally, I ordered the Korean fried chicken in the hot bar, but it looked and tasted average.

Had lunch here. It was really good value. The place you eat is very functional and people are good about cleaning up their mess. Unfortunately the shop don't seem to empty the bin which was overflowing. The food was typically microwaved in black plastic wrapped in more plastic and unevenly warm. Some bits burning hot & others barely warm.
