Lemon-lime cheesecake made by the most warm-hearted and dedicated Italien pastry chefs I know! The first time we visited Elio's store we tried pastries filled with very soft and delicious creams. Especially the chocolate ones had a surprisingly smooth taste to it. Elio explained to us that he only uses the freshest and authentic ingredients which I appreciate a lot. That's why I decided to go for a customized cake as a gift. The lemon-lime cheesecake had different layers and textures. Not only the citrus note gave it freshness but also the cream itself which was soft and not too sweet. Also the base had a nice buttery taste. Elio's life has been quite the story, the Sicilian born chef got aquainted with local food and pastries from a very young age. I was there last Friday afternoon... was a very pleasant surprise. For a small place like this, a few things are key: quality of offerings, knowledge about each product and customer service. Duci excelled for me on all counts. Right in the middle of the city centre but once you step inside there was a level of serenity that struck me. The coffee was great but the dolci were the crowning glory. Intricately put together, these sweets are a real delight and I am sure I will bring more friends here to share...
