Again disappointed by the way the Dutch catering staff deal with complaints /disappointment/ negative comments on food. Yesterday while while walking my dog on the beach we stopped at this restaurant to have a bit to eat with my son and mother, my son ordered chips/fritjes (Can't go wrong with that) my mother and I ordered the hamburger karel for 16.50 each. I took one bite and thought "wow this is salty" but just to be sure took a second bite "yep this is definitely too salty to eat" my mother didn't eat the bread but did did have three or four bites of the burger and came to the same conclusion. So ate everything on my plate except the burger clearly leaving 90% of the uneated burger on the plate. When i asked for the bill/check i pointed out to the waiting staff that the burger was too salty to eat and expressed my dissatisfaction. The reply from the staff was "wat jammer, dat is niet de bedoeling" translated to english "that's a shame that not the intention" and proceeded to charge me for the full amount of 50+ euros for our three ,eals plus drinks. there was no mention of removed the clearly uneaten burger from the bill, no coffee on the house nothing! In the UK and the USA a complaint like this is always compensated with something to clearly acknowledge your complaint and compensate you for the dissatisfaction. After you are buying a product!
