Corsair Bay Beach — Local services in Banks Peninsula Community

Beautiful hidden paradise just a few minutes from Lyttelton central. This beach was very quiet when we visited (in May), but may get really crowded during summer months. Large parking spaces are available as we enter the area, plus a decent playground for children. It also has walking track for those who love a small walk in the bush while viewing the beatiful scenery of the harbour. Kids may love playing on the beach while picking shells and other interesting fossils of sea creature. However, dogs may be freely running around and some may find this uncomfortable. Love this place. It has a quiet water that is very suitable for swimming. It is just a bit of a challenge to walk but its a must visit place in Christchurch. Good place if you want to have a picnic with the gang or a sweet beach date with your partner. Make sure to bring some snacks cause it is such a good place to stay and have couple of walk trails that are easily access. They have lots of parking spots, drinking fountains and toilets...
