Beautiful hidden paradise just a few minutes from Lyttelton central. This beach was very quiet when we visited (in May), but may get really crowded during summer months. Large parking spaces are available as we enter the area, plus a decent playground for children. It also has walking track for those who love a small walk in the bush while viewing the beatiful scenery of the harbour. Kids may love playing on the beach while picking shells and other interesting fossils of sea creature. However, dogs may be freely running around and some may find this uncomfortable.
