Its a small restaurant, seating can be little tricky but our server made some seats available for us which was nice.
(Disclaimer - this is my own opinion on the food, your experience may vary as expected)
Food was not great. Pad Thai was too sweet and tastes like most pad thais I have in Hamilton, not bad but not good either. The massaman curry was a bit too sweet and salty for me. Also got the Elephant Thai chicken which was quite salty and had strong lemongrass taste. Felt like it lacked some balancing of flavors.
Quite disappointed, especially after reading reviews stating "authentic" Thai food. Think I might have had my expectations too high, because it seems like the flavors are more adjusted towards locals (i.e. sweeter).
(Made some edits to make sure the review was more accurate. The spring roll portioning is a bit small but now that I think about it, it's pretty standard nowadays) The water part was mostly just a joke which i have removed. Again the food is probably suitable for some, but definitely not me. I stand by what I say though. The curry tasted a bit too creamy and sweet. And i don't mean to insult the cooks but for me, it tasted quite similar to what I would buy at the...
Read moreI’ve never ordered anything here until today and I’m pleasantly surprised! My son wanted a yellow curry. While we were waiting for the takeaway the lovely young waiter gave us little sweet coconut & corn filled pancakes. We both enjoyed the taste. Then the chef sent some cheese rolls with ham, my boy absolutely loved them! We got home and opened the bag, I found more of those little pancakes, that was quite kind gesture. The rice was perfectly cooked, the yellow curry was a bit too sweet for my boy, I tried and thought the same, but that’s easy fix. Veggies were nicely cooked and fresh, chicken too. Good size portion. We absolutely enjoyed the interaction and overall vibe there, so next time we will definitely give a go to few more...
Read moreI never really write reviews but after the second time eating in at this place, I had to. The food is absolutely delicious, the entrees , my favourite being the thai curry puff, the pastry is delectable. The mains are stunning, full of flavour and the portion size is quite big for the price, my favourite being the pai thai noodle. The server was sweet and kind, the food was brought out quite fast and we were also given a free kumara dessert which we were stunned about but so touched. It is more of a take away place but eating in is lovely as hardly anyone does and we get the whole place to ourselves + we make an outing of it. 10/10 for sure, a hidden gem, me and my partner will be making...
