Finding the right wedding venue was our number 1 priority. We wanted lots of natural beauty, and a space where we and our guests could be relaxed and comfortable - Little Wilderness ticked all the boxes!

It was the first venue we visited, and we fell in love with it so much we cancelled all our other appointments immediately and booked it in as soon as we settled on a date. You have to visit the venue to experience the magic of the place, it feels like you've stepped outside of Auckland into quite literally, a little piece of rustic, beautiful wilderness - albeit with comfy seating areas and a lush getting ready room! The natural scenery and the grounds are stunning and peaceful. As soon as I got to the venue on the day I started to relax just being in that space. On top of that, the venue has showers and an awesome space for getting ready on site, plus amazing photo locations, so we were able to do everything all in one place which massively reduced our stress on the day.

We received so many raving compliments from our guests about the venue too - it was just the type of space that people enjoy spending time in! The natural beauty of it and the minimal but tasteful rustic decor /furniture also means you really don't need much in terms of decorations. It's beautiful as it is.

George is also an absolute hero, exactly what you want in a venue manager. Helpful, fun, easy to communicate with, down to earth, and went above and beyond to make our day wonderful and stress-free.

I would also highly recommend opting for the 2 hour photo tour add-on option. My husband and I both agree it was our highlight of the day! So much fun riding on the buggy and visiting all the scenic spots, and made for some beautiful photos and video moments. Finally - we felt so happy that our wedding was supporting an eco friendly business looking after our native forest. Love your work guys - keep it up. Couldn't recommend the venue...

We fell in love with this venue as soon as we found it online and even though we had never seen it in person until just a few days before our wedding (we live overseas), we couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place for us to get married. The natural beauty of Little Wilderness made it so easy for our wedding to have the exact vibe we were looking for - and it allowed us to keep our decorating budget low too! It was fun wandering the property and finding all of the cool places to just hangout and be at peace in nature. The grounds are pristine and the team do a great job at the upkeep. We loved the aspect of being able to bring in our own food truck and caravan bar and basically to set up our wedding the exact way we wanted it to be.

We were one of the very first couples to book their wedding here back in 2020 and we’re so thankful that George was very gracious in allowing us to delay our wedding day in the face of Covid over the past 3 years. He was extremely kind, patient and helpful throughout the entire process. He is a true rockstar and we appreciate everything he did to make our day go off without a hitch. Highly recommended as the best wedding venue or event space in Auckland!

We had our wedding at Little Wilderness in April 2022, and we genuinely can't recommend this venue highly enough!

We booked Little Wilderness pretty last minute, due to cancelling our big wedding which had already been postponed twice thanks to COVID. We decided to downscale completely, and the moment we saw Little Wilderness we knew it would be perfect for our smaller, intimate wedding.

Our wedding day was so magical, and it was largely due to the amazing setting of Little Wilderness. Having our ceremony in an orchard, being surrounded by native forest, with access to the BEST spots for photos - what more could you want? The modern and rustic shed on the property is the perfect spot for a reception, and it has everything you need whilst also being eco-friendly.

George is the best venue manager / owner I've dealt with - he was responsive, helpful, laidback, fun, organized and clearly so passionate. He was a breath of fresh air after dealing with other venue managers in the industry, and we feel so lucky to have had him help us bring our day to life.

This is hands-down the best wedding venue in Auckland and if you're considering having your wedding here, just do it - it'll be the best decision you'll make for...
