Do not miss this beautiful walk. About 45 mins to one hour depending on fitness. Not difficult. Well maintained gravel pathways all the way. There is interesting information about the trees planted here as you go. The 1200 year old kauri tree and grove of newer kauri trees magnificent. So stately and the vegetation around is beautiful. It was a 20 degree day so no need for warm clothes. Park at the entrance of Long Bay caravan Park. Kids could easily walk this path to.

One of the wonders of Coromandel. The Kauri Tree is so beautiful and strong with a huge trunk that I have never seen before in my life. I guess the Kauri Tree trunk is nearly 3 metres in diameter or more. A must-see wonder ....

This is a brilliant walk. I suggest you do this followed by heading down to the other bay. You can then walk to the far right end of this bay and hake the coast back to the start.
