Grange Road Takeaways — Local services in North Island

It's the amazing staff that make this place sooooooo good. It was recommended to me as I'm not familiar with f&c shops in Tauranga.

I popped in & found the staff friendly & knowledgeable about what they sold. The shop floor, window & surfaces were really clean - trust me, shop appearance says a lot!

I placed my order and got told it would take about 15mins for it to be ready. I told them I was going to collect my mum, come back for my order as we were going to eat it at Kulim Park.

Whilst waiting outside the shop in the car with mum for 15 minutes to be up, one of the staff came out with our order. He checked that I was the name he had, handed over our meal & disappeared inside the shop. I sooooooo didn't expect to be recognized as they were busy, neither did I expect my order to come to us.

One scoop of chips was a generous portion and they were as I'd asked for - well cooked. The vegetarian spring roll was amazing (& had no vermicelli so that made it extra nutritious), the two battered fish were large (and there was an small piece extra) & the crabsticks had just the right amount of batter.

I'm not sure who the best f&c shop is in Tauranga, but I'd be voting for Grange Rd...

It is a little take-away shop on a busy road, with a constant flow of people coming in and out to collect their ordered meals. The kitchen runs like a well-oiled machine with a handful of staff.

Walk-in customers can wait for their meals at a couple of seats inside or at the table located outside on the sidewalk.

The staff is friendly and knows the regular customers by name, creating a welcoming community feeling in the establishment.

The menu has the right number of options available to choose from, something for every picky eater in the family. Without feeling overwhelmed with choices of what to pick when the kids get hangry.

The portions are generous and much more filling and taste fuller than other fast food chain stores.

The food is worth the couple of minutes of waiting time as the food is freshly prepared as you wait.

I must give a 5 stars for this one. Its Hawaiian burger, is better than most of formal "restaurant", consider it is a fast-food takeaway store. When I am eating the burger, even a random street stranger asked me" their burger is good, isn't it". It NEVER happened before. It is a public acknowledgement by the local community.

Also highly recommend Yorkshire Pork roast. Most difficult thing is not making fancy exotic food and get welcomed, The most difficult thing is making common daily food sophisticated...
