Homestyle Catering NZ — Local services in Rodney

Over the last 3 months, I hosted a series of events (7 different groups of 5-19 people, lasting 2.5 days each) to celebrate my marriage with friends and family, and Homestyle Catering catered & delivered almost all of the meals that were involved. It was really important to me to be able to provide delicious, healthy food for our guests, and Daniela not only met my expectations but blew them out of the park!

Daniela offered stellar service from the beginning. As my dad (who helped look for caterers) tells it, he initially got recommendations for 3 different caterers in the area, contacted Daniela first, and was so blown away by her can-do attitude and ability to understand/meet what we needed that he didn't even bother contacting the other 2 options.

Daniela has a long list of incredible menu items that was overwhelming at first, but she took the time to understand what I was looking for and presented potential menus/good pairings for each of the 7 events. She was super receptive to feedback/edits and also accommodating for the various dietary restrictions that each party had (combinations of dairy free, gluten free, kids age 3 and under, pregnant, nut allergies, etc.) She was also understanding and exceptionally accommodating when last minute changes occurred, such as guests declining last minute or even adding additional meals with only a few days to spare.

Most of all, Daniela's food is FANTASTIC. Her ingredients are all fresh and well-washed, the presentation beautiful (especially the fruit platters), her meats are always perfectly cooked (howww), and all our guests loved her food. She has a ton of variety in terms of the food she offers, and it's all consistently at the same high bar - in total, we catered about 38 meals from her, and she made sure that each meal was different, which was not expected at all but thoroughly appreciated. Many of our guests said that they'd love to have the recipe for various dishes - please put out a recipe book, Daniela!

We had a catering with Daniela for my birthday party. The food is delicious with amazing flavours. The meals home-style, cooked with love and Mediterranean flavours, and beautifully presented. Being a student Dietitian, it is important for me that the food I serve for parties is of good quality and prepared healthy, and Daniela’s food tick all these boxes, both yummy and healthy. Daniela catered for our large family gathering just before Christmas. Booking and planning the menu were straightforward as Daniela was very helpful with her recommendations. The grazing board and various skewer platters were just perfect - beautifully presented, delicious with complementary flavours and choices for every taste.
