This place is usually a must stop for us, but on Saturday the service was terrible.

When we got home we realized several items were missing. After calling them up they said the burger was made, they just forgot to put it in, and it would take 10 minutes to cook the other missed items. No problem. But after we drove back 10 minutes later, we had to wait another 30 minutes, since they gave the burger to someone else. Weird, but oh well. But when we finally got our items and got home for the second time, I opened the smallest piece of fish I’d seen in my life. Less than half the size of the other fillets we ordered (of the same fish). Unbelievable.

I’m usually very patient since mistakes happen, but the the lack of care was the worst bit. No concern, barely an apology was given. The kid we dealt with didn’t care whatsoever. It was like he didn’t know what to do, so he did nothing.

I hope they do better, but we probably won’t be...

Really really disappointed at tonight’s effort. This is almost a destination meal for us ( we have a local bach ) and usually it is outstanding. I’m completely mystified as to why it was so poor today….. flavourless slightly undercooked chips, fish ( frozen???? Certainly bland) with undercooked batter… a tasteless mussel fritter and two batches of “cheesy wheezies” that were completely different from each other ( and in not a good way ) New owners? All the regular staff on holiday? Whatever… we’re back to the other local option next time ( also usually outstanding. Here’s hoping… ) $96 for a very average meal....

Usually I can't fault this place. The food is great, with generous portions and great service. However the last 2 times I have ordered for my family and for myself a vege burger on a gf bun. The burger has been absolutely inedible. The bun was so overcooked, tapping on it sounded like knocking on a door. Trying to bite it was useless. I hate to complain, but I won't be going back again. I already have to pay an extra $3, so to pay more for something I can't eat really sucks. Really...
