Best to go in the Summer! Enjoy a nice morning stroll through the outdoor farmer's market. pick up some local fruit, veggies, or have a coffee, breakfast/lunch. I go every Sunday in the summer to get lettuce/greens from one stand that I don't even know the name of - but all they sell is vegetables/greens, just have a look around. Way better lettuce/salad than in grocery stores. When in season, they have lovely heads of romaine lettuce (which I've yet to see in grocery stores here). Great way to experience the best fruit in season - I did not know such a wide variety of plums existed, for example. limited food options though, some better than others. I was unimpressed by the 'egg burger' place ). Feast machines food truck sells out of their best items quickly. Plenty to check out, but not even to entertain for hours on end. Sundays...
Read moreSmallish in scale but nice vibe, very friendly stall holders and quirky stalls such as the gerbera stall at $1 per stem and the lady selling dehydrated vegetables, soups and fruits for tramping. All with 100% natural & tasty. The vegan chai stall Mamma Lous with hot, delicious apple fritters or mushroom. Some druit stalls with excellently priced pears and other local fruits.
