We attend mini gym on a Monday with our kids and Anna who runs it is amazing. She's really funny and kind and especially good with the kids during the classes. She's very flexible about attending the suggested age time slot as I found the 9.30-1030 slot too busy with having a new baby and toddler so I would go and do the mums and bubs at 10.20 and let my toddler play while I was with the baby then I could swap round when she had her nap afterwards. My baby is now nearly 1 and was going with toddler from 1yrs so it's been nice to go every week and see how they develop in their climbing skills and gain heaps of confidence on the courses Anna sets out for them. The mini gym runs from 9.30am to 1145am which is great for the kids if your running late or they fall asleep in the car you can sit and wait to sleep and wake up before heading in and don't miss anything. Even with the mums and bubs if your running late she doesn't mind you joining in half way through as they do a half way breakout session for free play as well on the soft gym equipment.

Really good infrastructure and facilities for different sports activities in Rolleston. Well maintained and valuable for the community.

Opening day visit as a local Rolleston resident and we were very impressed by the facilities offered at the Selwyn Sports Centre.

Fab centre. Great facilities and condition of courts. I play pickleball with my kids, but there is a contingent of Pacific Islanders that seem hell bent on smashing people to the point of being dangerous (and they are unapologetic), and we have had to stop going for now. I don't care where they are from but they seem to be an insular and unfriendly group. Might pop back without my kids and see what happens. But its quite hard to learn in the current (Monday night) environment. I'd heard pickleball was inclusive but its a bit awkward and dangerous currently, and I'm not sure who...

Used the indoor walking track, it was cold and wet outside but we were warm toasty while walking laps inside out if the cold. Great view of the basketball games being played and also the hockey turf outside. $3.00 for as long as we liked makes it a cheap and warm way to...
