We spent the morning exploring the bays south of Kaiteriteri and were delighted to come upon Tapu Bay. We were welcomed by very friendly dogs and their owners at the grass car park, then we were delighted to see an array of kayaks and paddle boards all set out for anyone to use and return when they're done. Certainly a first for me to see that at any beach. Thank you to the residents who have worked to arrange this for all the beach lovers. Tidal bay which means it's a lot quieter but definitely worth going at high tide for swimming. Nice to walk around the rock arches that are forming.
