Puwheke Beach is an quite beautiful beach located on the Karikari Peninsula in the Northland region. It offers serene landscapes and a tranquil atmosphere. The beach's remote location far from main cities is an excellent location for relaxation. The surrounding area is rich in natural beauty, flora and fauna. The beach is in the Te Hiku Community in Northland. Great for surfing, fishing, and kite surfing. Popular with 4WD crowd too, rolling on the vast long white sandy stretch.

Beautiful white sand beach on the peninsula. You can take your car on the beach. There is an entrance to the right once you reach the end of the road and reach the beach. Only take a 4x4 as the sand near the entry is really soft and you need good traction and ground clearance to enter. Once on the beach, it's an easy drive. Remember to watch for tides and go only during low tide. Clear water and lots of shells if you love collecting.

There's no place like home. Except the beach. This is a must. Breathtaking blue ocean with waves, white sand. Negative point is to get there there are a few kilometers of gravel in very poor condition.

Breathtaking blue water with waves and a white sand beach. The best point is it’s not crowded at all. A great place to enjoy your day with family and children.

To drive there you would need to drive on a gravel road for few km’s but that’s a small price to pay to see this wonderland :) .

Northland has the best beaches in NZ and it’s a shame that I am visiting it now after staying for almost a...
