This view in the pictures honestly made me cry, and it could be heaven.

First, I did not want to stop there because it wasn't calling. They were building, maybe, a parking lot by the road near the Downward Trail Start Point. The trail start point was not very visible. I peeked in and saw a small waterfall. Nothing impressive. Because I stopped at several beautiful waterfalls on the way. (that's the one that fell from the hotel side.) It was a beautiful ridge, though. The weather was fine and Raining slightly on and off. I started to drive uphill. Then I saw a red-colored hotel. I tried hard in my mind to drive past it. But I wanted to pee so badly. Again I didn't want to stop, but I chose to turn toward the hotel. It's about a 1 mile long - uphill - gravel road drive.

I forgot to pee first after seeing this view.

There was a huge parking lot and clean public restrooms. I did not go into the hotel, but it looks pretty from the outside. The fence trail starts from the hotel and or its parking lot.

I used the restroom after about 45 minutes of a selfie & photograph session. I would hv stayed longer and instead hiked down the trail. But I was time-crunching.

This was one of the most beautiful scenery I saw in Norway. I...

An amazing Saturday roadtrip. We picked this day becuase it was cloudy weather (always check the weather before visiting). The sign road from the highway was visible so it was easy to drive up to the moubtain. Along the road (zigzag like) I saw beautiful autumn trees (I was hoping to stop by) it will take like around 30 mins to drove up to the pick. If you see the parking area don't stop there because from there you have to walk all the way to the hotel. We asked someone there how to get to the main parking area. He said that from the main road just keep driving straight and follow the sign there you got to the main parking and less walking. There's the public toilet up there, vintage hotel look like and the main attractions to see the running waterfalls. Always watch your steps when walking there. It wasn't snow on the railing where you got o see the waterfalls but the flooring was wet and snow spotted everywhere. It was cold but not windy at all so it was a good choice to visit...

Absolutely stunning with a massive wow factor.

What a day checking out the incredible waterfall that crashes down onto the valley floor with -7 temperature. Speechless to see such an eye catching awesome natural feature that continues to shape the valley with its destructive force of water.

Recommendations

Fully recommended as it will be an incredibly high on your journey across Norway.
