오전08시 파키스탄 소스트 세관과 출입국 사무소 심사를 마치고 중국 국경을 향해 N35 카라코람 하이웨이를 타고 다시 길을 떠납니다.

아! 여기 디흐 쿤자랍 내셔널 파크 엔트리 포인트(Khunjarab National Park Entry Point) 에서 쿤제랍 국립공원 (Khunjarab National Park) 입장료 40USD.를 내야합니다. 물론 KKH가 공원을 통과하며 아름다운 고봉 설산의 절경을 보여주긴 하지만 너무 비싸다는 생각이 듭니다. 세계에서 공식적으로 출국세를 받는 나라는 한 나라도 없습니다. 이게 국립공원 입장료를 위장한 출국세라면 세계에서 가장 비싼 비공식 출국세가 되겠네요. 하지만 어쩌겠어요?.통행 차단기를 올리려면 꼼짝없이 돈을 내야합니다 쿤자랍 패스를 넘어 중국으로 가야 하니까요. 개운하지 않은 마음으로 다시 길을 떠나니 지금까지 지나왔던 카라코람 하이웨이와는 차원이 다른 고봉 설산의 절경이 좌우로 펼쳐집니다. 조금전 비싼 돈을 지불했다는 불쾌감이 눈 녺듯 사그라들며 용서가 됩니다. 세상에서 가장 높고 위험한 길이자 가장 아름다운 길 나는 지금 카라코람 하이웨이를 달리고 있습니다. 왼쪽으로 Khunjerab Sar 1봉의 (6,030m)눈부신 자태가 시야에 들어오고  카라코람 하이웨이 쿤자랍 패스(4,693m)정상과 쿤자랍 국경 검문소(Khunjerab Check Post,Pak-China border,Karokaram Highway) 에 도착합니다. 쿤제랍 패스(Khunjarab Pass 4,693m)는 N35 카라코람 하이웨이 의 고개로 파키스탄 길기트 (270km)와 중국 신장 자치구의 G314 타슈쿠르간 (130km)을 연결하는데 중국 출입국 사무소는 고개에서 3.5km정도  떨어져 있습니다 . 일반적으로 12월 1일4월 30일 까지는 대형 차량이 통행할 수 없고 1월 1일3월 30일까지는 모든 차량이 통행이 금지된다고 합니다. 디흐 쿤자랍국립공원 입구에서 40km,소스트 세관에서75km 떨어진 국경 검문소까지 1시간 30분정도 걸렸습니다. 쿤자랍 패스 정상에서 바라보는 쿤자랍국립공원 고산 설봉은 선경 속의 비경을 방불케합니다. 쿤자랍 패스 정상 표지판과 Pak-China Friendship Goal Gate, Pak China COMM Centre, World Highest ATM 을 배경으로 인증샷을 남깁니다. Pak-China Friendship Goal Gate 앞 까지는 파키스탄 영토라 접근이 가능하지만 반대쪽에서는 중국 군인들의 국경 경비가 삼엄하여 출입할 수 없습니다. 여기는 N35 카라코람 하이웨이 쿤자랍 패스 정상(Karakoram Highway Khunjarab Pass Top 4,693m)입니다. 현기증과 호흡 곤란의 고산증이 밀려오니 여기가 고산 지역이라고 몸이 강력한 신호를 보내옵니다. Pak-China Friendship Goal Gate 를 통과하자 여기서부터 카라코람 하이웨이 중국쪽 G314 하이웨이의 시발점이 됩니다. 타슈쿠르간,카슈카르,베이징까지의 거리를 알려주는 도로 표지판과 중국이 우측 통행 국가임을 경고하는 적색 화살 표지판이 길게 이어집니다. 지금까지 파키스탄은 좌측 통행 국가였거든요. 중국 신장 위구르 자치구로 입국하여 카라코람 하이웨이를 타고 이제부터 본격적인...
