Monkey Island Tour — Local services in Ancón

My boyfriend and I went on a private tour with Goran. He picked us up from our accommodation in Panama City early in the morning and drove to Gamboa first where we boarded a boat for a tour to the monkey islands in the Chagres River. Goran arranged for us to be the only ones on the boat. Together with the skipper, Goran put a great effort to ensure that we could see as many monkeys as possible. Finally, we spotted all three domestic monkey species – capuchins, howlers and tamarins.

Goran was an excellent tour guide. He was extremely pleasant, organized, informative and I would definitely use him again. He had a lazer light so he could point out things in the forest from the boat, he was prepared with a map to better explain things to us and showed me a clip as well when I didn’t understand how the Panama Canal worked. We did the monkey island and Panama Canal tour, he was punctual, kind, well prepared with water bottles, a cooler and everything I would want from a tour guide. Wow!!! What an incredible adventure we had today with Goran and the monkey island tour!! Goran was so accommodating and worked out his schedule to give us the most amazing time!! We saw multiple types of monkeys, birds, turtles, bats and even an alligator!! The boat driver made phenomenal lifelike monkey sounds to call down the wildlife and he knew all the best places to spot the animals!! I would give this tour 10 stars if I could!! Thank you Goran for a true Panamanian...
