When you go with a guide it’s always better … once you park your car You walk to the boat and board on it Preferably sit in the front You must wear your life jacket for safety Once you reach the monkey island Donot expect alot of monkeys running to you Lol! But once they park the boat you can give the fruits to monkeys! Oh yea i forgot to mention…. Pick up some grapes and bananas on the way to the island.

Keep your camera ready when on boat near the monkeys.

Watch out that you don’t get scammed like us! The price was by 35$ pP and we negotiated to 30$ pP. The problem was, that we were the only once at this time and he couldn’t make a better price for a two hour tour. So we left with him, had to stops on our way and saw monkeys. That was all. We spend in total 1 hour and 15 minutes on the tour and felt scammed. We asked the guy if it is a joke and he just laughed at as and asked for the money. We can’t recommend to go out without a guid and a booking. In the end we paid for a Uber ride to go there and to get back… Do not go with...

Tour guide took us here for $150 x person for monkey Island/Gatun Lake portion of our tour package.

The tour included pickup from our hotel / 1:30 hour boat tour to monkey Island and around canal which started at this dock/ Entrance passes to Gamboa Sloth Reserve (no zip line, only animal exhibits) and ride back to our hotel, entire tour 0700-1100.

However, if you take a taxi or Uber here you could make it all on your own as well as the boaters are there open to the public for the monkey Island Tours and fishing tours as well.
